To Go Bag Class
Class Description:
Join us for a fun and productive day as we create the versatile "To Go Bag" – a stylish and practical sewn bag perfect for all your daily needs! In this one-day class, you'll learn how to craft a functional and fashionable bag that’s just the right size for groceries, books, or a weekend getaway.
What You'll Learn:
- Cutting: We’ll guide you through the process of cutting fabric pieces with precision.
- Sewing Techniques: Master key sewing techniques such as attaching straps and creating a lined interior.
- Customization: Explore ways to personalize your bag with pockets, optional zipper, fabric choices, and embellishments to make it uniquely yours.
Materials Needed:
- Fabric:
- ½ yard outside fabric
- ½ yard lining fabric
- 2 yards medium weight single side fusible interfacing
- 108” webbing for handles
- Working sewing machine (available for rent if needed)
- Basic sewing tools (scissors, pins, thread)
- Walking foot for your machine is helpful but not required
Skill Level: Confident beginner
